September begins…
Four months left in 2022. A perfect time for a little tough love.
So, what will you do for health and fitness the rest of the year?
Will you continue to talk about starting to exercise and eating better or will you take a small step in that direction?
Will you adapt to changes in your life or let them derail your current progress towards improvement and self-care?
Will you continue to have no time for planning a few meals or exercise, but spend two hours a day on social media, games, tv, etc?
Will you not hire a coach or join a personal training facility like Breakthrough Fitness because it’s too expensive and then proceed to drop $50+ on eating out a few times a week?
Or will you try to improve by having fun?
I plan on having a little fun…two types of fun to be exact!
Type 1 fun - Things you’ll most certainly enjoy like going to dinner with friends, chilling at the beach and doing things that you enjoy.
Type 2 fun - Activities and situations that challenge you and may make you a little uncomfortable while doing it, but leaves you feeling alive, rewarded and accomplished afterwards.
The fall is my favorite time of the year, so I know I’ll work in plenty of type 1 fun. I’m sure you will too.
But, what about type 2 fun?
I have a few business ideas I want to try that will force me out of my comfort zone.
I’m also ready to tighten up my nutrition along with my clients in our upcoming Nutrition Transformation Challenge Starting 9/19
This upcoming challenge may be a perfect example of type 2 fun for you, if you’ve been putting off starting a fitness program or changing your nutrition for the better out of fear of failure.
It’s not even close to being extreme, but even making small changes can be scary.
But, if you do it, you’ll feel amazing about the results you get (slimmer waist, fat loss), and the sense of accomplishment will provide a mental boost only type 2 fun can fulfill.
If improving your health and nutrition is out of your comfort zone, we’d love to help you.
Start, Strive, Thrive is a great way to get started.
If your fitness and nutrition are in check, find some other activities, both physical and mental that would be considered type 2 fun and get after it!
Have a fun (both types) and safe Labor Day weekend!
Keep moving,
Coach Dom
