Peanut Butter & Chocolate

October 29, 20251 min read

It’s hard not to think of peanut butter and chocolate around Halloween.

Peanut butter and chocolate all around us in fun size servings. They compliment each other so well.

Now that you’re craving peanut butter cups, let’s talk about strength and health.

A well-rounded fitness program should consist of more than one ingredient.

Strength training is a good main ingredient. Like chocolate it’s very good by itself.

But, we want better than good.

We need to find something like peanut butter that works harmoniously with strength training.

That something is walking.

Strength training and walking is a winning combination.

Full body strength training is great for bones, muscles, balance and injury resistance. The sessions don’t need to be long (30-60min is good), but should have a moderate to high intensity. After a session, you should feel like you’ve been challenged, not hit by a truck.

It makes sense to combine a few challenging strength training sessions with a lower, more therapeutic intensity.

Daily walking helps with blood circulation and recovery.

Walking creates very little stress on the body, so you’ll be able to focus more energy into your strength training sessions.

Walking aids in digestion, burns calories and can help clear your head and is relaxing.

All great things!

Like peanut butter and chocolate, it’s a win-win.

So, take advantage of the nicer weather and go for more walks.
