Focus on Done
You don't get results from a single workout or a couple of good meals. I’ve been lifting weights and exercising for a long time. I would rate workouts on a weekly basis as follows…
One will feel great.
One will feel good.
One will be average.
And one will simply just go down in the books as ‘done’.
I’ve learned that ‘done’ is what’s most important.
The combination of great, good, average and bad is what leads to results.
The sluggish workout days help maintain the compound gains you’ve been accruing from the average, good and great days.
Even though that one workout may have sucked, you still showed up. You didn’t chalk up a zero or skipped workout.
By simply showing up, you’ve proven that you aren’t a person who misses workouts. Showing up has a powerful effect on your mindset even when the workouts aren’t that great.
A positive mindset keeps you coming back.
Make a decision to give your body some physical TLC and become a person who commits to it because you do what you say you are going to do.
