Quality Equipment

We use a variety of equipment in our programs. You'll move your body, lift weights, throw balls, push sleds and so much more! If you've seen it, we have it! A variety of ``tools`` helps make training fun!

Workouts are crucial, but they need to be backed up by solid nutrition. Fueling your body with what it needs will keep you running at your optimum performance level.

Refuel and recover with our Shake Bar. Our selection of protein shakes, smoothies, and healthy whole foods will supplement your workouts for optimal results.

There's no one-size-fits-all workout program, even if they're selling it on an infomercial. We customize our programs to each individual member.

Our Story

I began lifting weights when I was 15 because I wanted to improve at sports. Strength training definitely helped my athleticism, but looking back the biggest takeaway was a boost in confidence and self-esteem.

I have vivid memories of this little 10×10 room at my friend’s house where 3-5 of us would train daily that summer of 92’. We lifted, we laughed and our friendships grew strong. A year later I joined my first gym, Physiques Unlimited with my buddy Joe. It was a small, family owned gym where everyone knew each other. The older guys (probably my age now), were quick to give advice and help us younger guys out. Like that 10×10 room, there was a ton of laughs and valuable life lessons.

After earning my degree in Exercise Science and Wellness from Florida Atlantic University, I bounced in and out of the fitness industry, while bartending. It wasn’t until 2008, ten years after college that I realized what I should be doing as a career.

I started my training career as, Dynamic Performance Systems. Sounds like a sports-performance car mechanic right?

Yeah, I messed up a lot.

I also learned a lot…and changed a lot.

But one thing remained constant:
My vision of a gym where everyone enjoys the process and has a good time.

I wanted to create a place where you’ll be held accountable – with coaches (and fellow clients) looking for you at every workout.

For years, people have thought of the gym as a scary, intimidating, and overall, a pretty boring place.

I set out to change that.

In 2010, I made the transition from training people in their homes and parks, to opening an actual facility.

Breakthrough Fitness was born.

What was once just me training clients, has become a team of trainers all bringing different personalities and strengths to our fitness coaching facility.

As we continued to grow we certainly had our ups and downs, defining what model is best for us, who we are right for, and we learned a lot.

2020 has been an exceptional year for learning and improving. It really made me get back to the basics and simplify what we do. In the process, I learned that Breakthrough Fitness is built firmly on three pillars:

1. Coaching

We believe everyone needs coaching.

That may be how to exercise, correcting technique, or it may be a shoulder to lean on or someone to laugh with.

All of your workouts at Breakthrough Fitness (BTF) are, and always will be, with a coach. The impact our coaches make every day is incredible. We have a saying here that we call 1% Better.

It’s how we approach every client, every journey.

1% Better.

Just a little better than yesterday.

It’s how we approach our business, always looking to get better.

It’s how we approach our programs, our conversations, and our overall philosophy. It’s not about the home run, it’s not about crushing you until you puke, it’s about being a little bit better than yesterday.

2. Accountability

Fitness is a process. Becoming stronger, leaner and happier, requires time and effort. That effort has to be hard enough to elicit change. They’ll be days you conspire with the universe, trying to find something, anything that would be a better option than your workout. The snooze button will have its victories.
We believe everyone needs support and accountability, even us.

Coaches can bring a lot to the table -knowledge, attitude, energy, passion, personality…and these qualities are powerful tools that will help you, BUT…
You know what else is powerful?

An appointment.

Having to be somewhere at a particular place and time with a professional, who’s passionate about helping you is extremely powerful. We’ll bug you if you don’t show, we’ll track your progress, and we will hold you accountable to your goals.

An appointment, a team of coaches you enjoy being around and a training environment you feel comfortable at, is a winning combination.

3. Community

When people ask us what our “secret” is, I think this is it.
We want this to be your third place.




It’s a place where, hopefully, you want to be.

We’re so much more than a gym. Every client knows every team member and every team member knows each client.

We sweat together, but we also hang out together, socialize, participate in community events together, do volunteer work together, and lean on each other when we need it most.

If you’re looking for a place just to workout, we’re not for you.

But if you want a place where you can meet new people, become inspired to become a better version of yourself and be a part of a strong community, then we just might be a great fit for you.

Our Vision

BTF exists to impact, empower, and change the lives of those who are intimidated by the typical gym environment through strong coaching, relentless accountability, a family-like community, and a desire to get 1% better each and every day.

That vision will never change.

We also recognize that in order to truly change somebody’s life we need to invest a lot of time and effort into them. That means we can’t have thousands of members.

We can’t go super deep with every client if we’re constantly adding new members, which is we’ve decided to cap our membership at 200.

200 isn’t an arbitrary number – it’s the number we agreed upon as a staff that we feel will allow us to deliver an exceptional customer experience while avoiding the feeling of a typical health club.

We’re hyper focused on giving our current members the best experience possible, while searching for new people who want to be a part of our community.

How We Stand

Breakthrough Fitness is a results-driven fitness facility located in Oviedo, Florida. We specialize in helping real people with busy lives reach their fitness goals. More specifically, we provide our members with permanent solutions to a fit and healthy body. There are no crash diets, fads, or cookie cutter programs at Breakthrough Fitness. We use scientific principles to design quality fitness programs that will challenge your body to look, move, and feel great! We also know good programs aren’t enough.
